Magic Kingdom

Each Saturday I try to plan a family outing so today we headed over to Magic Kingdom. We took Steven on the Haunted Mansion and Winnie the Pooh rides. He did very well in the Haunted Mansion until all the lights went out and the others around us started to scream. He was much better once the lights came back on. While we were waiting on our fastpass for Winnie the Pooh we headed into Toon Town. We never got there on Steven's 1st birthday so this was new for him. He loved the water ship playground but the regular playground was his favorite. He was the "boss" of the slide area. He stood up there and directed all traffic. Eventually he went down the slide and was off to the little house. He LOVED this!!!! He played in there for at least 45 minutes until we had to grab him out of there so we could go on the Winnie the Pooh ride.

He finally fell asleep so we headed over to the barber shop to get his haircut. Everything was going well until it was Steven's turn. He refused to let anyone touch his hair and would having nothing to do with getting his haircut. He was even mad at us!!!!! We left and were heading out of the park all while he was SCREAMING!!!! I was surprised the security didn't stop and question us just to make sure we weren't taking off with someone else's child! We took the boats back to the Polynesian and he settled down until we had to get off the boat. I'm not sure we are going to like the 2's!!!!

Last Saturday we took Steven to Blizzard Beach. He liked walking in the water and going down the mini water slide but he insisted on going up the slide instead of the steps so we had to keep him away. Then we took him down the lazy river. Ken held him in his tube while I followed in mine. Once again we were unsuccessful with the napping so his mood was very temperamental. I'm beginning to think he has a hard time napping when both mommy and daddy are home.

Next Saturday we will be over in Clearwater Beach with my mom and brother Jonathan. They are coming down for a few days. We are very excited!!!
