Jacksonville, Florida

I had Spring Break this past week so we started the vacation off with a trip to Jacksonville to visit our friends House & Tanya and their two adorable children; Abigail & Ethan. They have a beautiful home. We stayed in their guest suite which is located right off the courtyard. It was perfect for us. Steven was able to sleep in a quiet location and we didn't disturb the rest of the family with our 3a.m. feedings. Tanya and House are quite the hosts. On Saturday we drove into the city to take a water taxi ride around the downtown area. They have different restaurants and hotels along the riverfront. While on our adventures a pirate ship arrived. They shot off a cannon and yelled some pirate lingo. Unfortunately Abigail didn't care for them and as for Steven..well..he slept through the whole thing. They ended up being very nice pirates and even gave the kids some beads to wear. It was a very nice afternoon.

Abigail loved Steven. She would hold his hand and brush the side of his face. She told me she was the babysitter. Then Ethan wanted to be the babysitter too but Abigail told him he was the destructor. I guess he has a tendency to destroy things. We were not able to witness this behavior but.....boys will be boys!!

Here is a picture of the three kids together. Abigail found some of her baby toys for Steven to play with. You may notice she has a broken arm. She fell on her arn at Gymboree and broke it. She had three pin placed and will get the cast and pins removed next week. Then they will give her a more functional cast. The cast didn't slow her down. Isn't it funny how well kids can handle these situations so much better than we can??
