Biting

Steven has been biting us recently. We will be holding him and when he gets close he will either bite our arm, stomach, shirt, anything!!!! I am hoping this is due to the fact he is cutting more teeth. Yesterday I was able to see the whites of these two new chompers. We keep telling him NO and give him a teething ring or one of his toys which are suitable for biting. The teething tablets also seem to help. Are there any other suggestions?? I guess we will have to wait it out and see if it stops once the new teeth have broken through. In the meantime......we have to watch out for this little chomping gator!!

It might be the new teeth. Lawson bites every now and then but he used to do it all the time. Keep doing what you are doing.

sounds like you are on top of it. If he starts to bite for real to hurt you...thats different. I used to put my finger on the kids teeth after they bite or tried to and put pressure on them, just to let them know it hurt. Never had a problem again. (not too hard though :) )

like dave said, lawson doesn't do it much anymore, but enough that it does worry me about being in the nursery with other kids. that's the biggest reason i stayed with him. we just kept saying "no bite, no bite!" this phase lasted about 4 months though. :( good luck.
